Ingredients
- 5 medium apples (peeled, cored, and chopped)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 8 flour tortillas (for chips)
- Non-stick cooking spray
Instructions
- In a medium pot over medium heat, combine chopped apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Stir to coat the apples.
- Cook for about 10-15 minutes until the apples soften. Stir occasionally.
- Mix cornstarch with a little water until smooth; add to the apple mixture while stirring gently. Let simmer for a few more minutes until thickened.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut tortillas into triangles; spray with cooking spray and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake for about 10 minutes until crispy.
- Serve the warm apple filling in a dish surrounded by tortilla chips.
