  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons milk (plus more if needed)
  • 1/2 cup apple pie filling (mashed slightly with a fork, store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup white candy melting wafers
  • 2 tablespoons crushed cinnamon graham crackers

Instructions

  1. Sift together almond flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
  2. Beat egg whites until frothy; gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold dry ingredients into meringue until just combined.
  4. Pipe batter onto lined baking trays; let rest until dry to touch.
  5. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 10-15 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Cool completely; prepare vanilla buttercream by beating butter, powdered sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and milk together.
