Ingredients
- 6 small flour tortillas
- ⅓ cup melted salted butter
- ¾ cup finely crushed vanilla wafer crumbs
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 20 oz canned apple pie filling or fresh sautéed apples
- ¼ cup heavy cream or full-fat coconut milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush both sides of tortillas with melted butter.
- Coat tortillas in a mixture of crushed vanilla wafers and cinnamon; let rest on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
- Bake coated tortillas over bars of an oven rack or upside-down muffin tin for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, warm apple pie filling with heavy cream for about 5 minutes.
- Fill crispy taco shells with warm apple filling and top with whipped cream and caramel sauce.
