  • 3 to 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 tablespoons salted butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 5 ounces cream cheese
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup blackberry filling (reserved from filling)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, and warm water. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  2. Activate yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar; let sit until frothy.
  3. In a bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, Greek yogurt, egg, salt, and activated yeast mixture. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. Allow it to rise for about an hour.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over it. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top before drizzling with blackberry filling.
  6. Roll up the dough tightly and slice into pieces. Place in a greased baking dish to rise again.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For the frosting, beat together cream cheese, softened butter, corn syrup, vanilla, salt, and powdered sugar until creamy.
