- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons chai spice blend (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, allspice)
- For coating: 1/4 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and chai spice blend.
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Chill the dough for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls; coat each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
