  • 1 large yolk
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • Sprinkles or granulated sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line three baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Pulverize freeze-dried strawberries in a food processor until fine.
  4. Cream butter and sugar in a mixer until light and fluffy.
  5. Add egg, yolk, and vanilla; mix until combined.
  6. Gradually add flour mixture; mix on low speed until just combined.
  7. Divide dough into thirds; mix one third with strawberry powder, another with cocoa powder.
  8. Form small cookie balls from each colored dough; roll in sprinkles or sugar.
  9. Place on prepared sheets; bake for about 10–11 minutes until puffed.
