- 1 cup milk
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 1 envelope instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)

- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 1/2–3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 3–4 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp cloves
Instructions
- Warm milk until hot but not boiling; stir in melted butter.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, yeast, spices, and salt.
- Add milk mixture, molasses, and egg; mix until combined to form dough.
- Knead dough until smooth, then let rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for about an hour.
- Roll out risen dough into a rectangle and spread melted butter over it.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar mixed with spices; roll tightly into a log.
- Slice into approximately 12 rolls and place in a greased baking dish; let rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven and bake rolls for around 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- For frosting, mix cream cheese with powdered sugar and milk until smooth; drizzle over cooled rolls.
