Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak or steak tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella for topping
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season steak pieces with salt and pepper. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the steak in olive oil until browned on both sides (about 2–3 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in flour to create a roux. Gradually whisk in milk and beef broth until smooth. Add cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Cook tortellini according to package instructions but stop before fully cooked. Drain and toss with olive oil.
- Grease a baking dish and combine tortellini, steak, and cheese sauce until mixed well. Top with mozzarella.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Garnish with parsley before serving.
