- 450g lean ground beef
- 30g butter
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 230g brown mushrooms, minced
- 240ml beef broth
- 225g provolone cheese, chopped or shredded
- 6 brioche hamburger buns (buttered + toasted)
Instructions
- 1. Brown the ground beef in a hot pan without moving it for about one minute. Break it up once browned.
- 2. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until caramelized (about 5–7 minutes).
- 3. Combine beef broth, cornstarch, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl; pour over the sautéed veggies and simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
- 4. Stir in the browned beef until well mixed.
- 5. Turn off heat and mix in provolone cheese until melted.
- 6. Toast the brioche buns until golden brown.
- 7. Fill each bun with the cheesy beef mixture and serve warm.
