Ingredients
Scale
- 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 2 slices chicken chicken ham
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 sandwich bun, toasted
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Pound the chicken breast to an even thickness.
- Season both sides with garlic powder and black pepper.
- Set up your breading station with flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs in separate bowls.
- Dredge the chicken first in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
- Toast the bun while the chicken cooks; place Swiss cheese on top of the chicken to melt just before finishing.
- Mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard and spread on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Assemble by adding the melted chicken and ham, then top with the other half of the bun.
