  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix well.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Scoop out dough in large balls onto a prepared baking sheet and gently press down each ball to about one inch thick.
  5. Bake for approximately 10 minutes until set but still soft in the center. Cool on the baking sheet for about 20 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
