Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
- ¼ cup soy sauce (or gluten-free soy sauce)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- Optional toppings: green onions, broccoli florets, sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef for 5–7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat if needed; add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for 2 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened.
- If using broccoli, add it now and cook until tender (about 3–4 minutes).
- Prepare rice according to package instructions.
- Layer cooked rice in serving bowls and top with the beef mixture.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
