Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated flaky layers biscuits
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- Zest and juice of 1 large lemon
- 3 tablespoons + 1.5 teaspoons butter
- 1 tablespoon cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (325°F for dark pans).
- Prepare a 9”x5” loaf pan with non-stick spray and parchment paper.
- Separate each biscuit into two layers for a total of 16 pieces.
- In a bowl, mix sugar, lemon zest, and poppy seeds.
- Brush melted butter on each biscuit layer and coat in the sugar mixture.
- Assemble the coated biscuits in the prepared loaf pan, sprinkling any leftover mixture between them.
- Bake for 30–45 minutes until golden brown; cover with foil if browning too quickly.
- Let cool slightly before lifting out using parchment paper.
