- 1 pack of thick-cut turkey bacon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon water
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 baguette
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 4 or 8-ounce log of goat cheese
- Maple syrup or honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay out the turkey bacon and mix brown sugar, water, black pepper, and optional spices; drizzle over bacon.
- Bake until crispy (20-30 minutes), keeping an eye to prevent burning.
- Slice a baguette into rounds, brush with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and toast for about 5-10 minutes in the oven.
- Once the bacon cools slightly, chop it and mix it with softened goat cheese. Shape into a log using plastic wrap and chill for one hour.
- Drizzle maple syrup over the log before serving with toasted baguette slices.
