  • 1/2 cup – 2/3 cup pumpkin butter
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter for frosting
  • 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by melting butter and mixing it with warmed buttermilk and yeast until bubbly. Add sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and eggs; mix well.
  2. Gradually incorporate flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
  3. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. For the filling, combine softened butter, pumpkin butter, sugars, and spices in a separate bowl.
