- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
- 1 medium onion (sliced or chopped)
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 3/4 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into oval patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the patties on both sides for about 5 minutes; remove and set aside.
- Sauté sliced onions and mushrooms in the same skillet until golden brown.
- Add butter to the skillet; once melted, stir in flour until smooth. Gradually whisk in beef broth to create a thick gravy.
- Return the patties to the skillet with gravy and simmer until cooked through.
