Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (6 oz each) salmon, drained and flaked (or 12 oz cooked fresh salmon)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise for a richer sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ teaspoon honey (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, paprika, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and lemon juice until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties approximately 2-3 inches in diameter. Let them rest on a plate for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  4. For the sauce, whisk together Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise), lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, honey (if using), Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  5. Serve warm salmon patties drizzled with creamy sauce or on the side.
