Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 4 leaves of lettuce
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 4 burger buns
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground turkey with chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper until just mixed.
- Form into four patties with slight indentations in the center and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat; cook patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- In another bowl, mix mayonnaise, lime juice, chopped cilantro, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to create the southwest sauce.
- Toast burger buns until golden brown and assemble with sauce and desired toppings.
