Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla until combined. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients.
- Evenly distribute the batter into cupcake liners. Drizzle melted chocolate on top and swirl using a toothpick.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling completely before filling.
- For the filling, heat heavy cream until simmering and pour over chopped chocolate; stir until smooth.
- Fill cooled cupcakes with the creamy chocolate filling using a piping bag.
