Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs sirloin or ribeye steak
- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Marinate the steak by seasoning it with salt and pepper, then placing it in a bag with balsamic vinegar and olive oil for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente, reserving some pasta water before draining.
- Sear the marinated steak in a hot skillet for about 4 minutes per side, then let it rest before slicing.
- For the sauce, melt butter in a skillet, sauté garlic, then whisk in flour and gradually add milk until thickened. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted.
- Combine cooked pasta with the sauce and adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed. Serve topped with sliced steak.
